Scientific Director BSc(Hons), PhD
Dr Kristy Demmers has over 15 years of experience in the field of reproductive biology and early pregnancy, and was awarded her PhD in Reproductive Physiology in 1999 from the University of Nottingham in the UK. Kristy enjoyed an extensive and varied career in animal reproductive biology before training as a clinical embryologist, and has produced over 30 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals as well as being invited to speak at a number of national and international conferences.
She was delighted to be invited to join the team at Care Fertility as Scientific Director in 2016. Because of her extensive training and academic pursuits she is able to combine her passion for laboratory-based embryology with a focus on helping infertile couples achieve their goals. Kristy is also committed to quality management and strives to optimise conditions for fertilisation and safe embryo culture in the laboratory setting, as well as being informed about new technologies. Kristy and her team pride themselves on being approachable and are happy to discuss and answer your questions about the technical side of the IVF process.
